Overview:
Sanctum Poker is a fun addition to the community that allows players the opportunity to get together and enjoy a friendly or high-stakes game. It is a great way for players to connect and interact while winning gold and satisfying those gambling cravings. You can find the Poker Dealers inside of the Casino Royale located in the city of Sanctum. Be forewarned that this game requires real gold to play and each hand lost will deduct gold from your buy-in.
Rules:
Sanctum Poker is played with Texas Hold’em rules. The games are set up as casual-play meaning that you may leave at any point during the game and cash out your winnings. You must remain seated during gameplay, however, or you will be forced to forfeit your hand. Note that if you lose all of your chips/gold you may buy-in again to keep playing granted you have sufficient funds in your bank or pack. There are two tables available to join, a low-stakes and high-stakes, with buy ins of 50 – 1000 gold and 2,500 – 10,000 gold respectively.
Playing the Game:
To start a game you simply approach the Poker Dealer and double-click them in order to bring up the entry menu (shown left). This is where you’ll choose the initial amount you wish to buy-in with. You must join with at least one other player for the game to begin and the table can seat up to four (4) players at a given time. This means that as little as 2,000 gold or as much as 40,000 gold can be in circulation within a single game. Once players are seated and the game has begun a status bar will appear which displays information pertinent to the game such as your hand, the current pot size, your opponents’ bet, etc. When it is your turn an additional menu will be displayed asking how you would like to proceed (shown below). From here on, it is simple Texas Hold’em poker so if you are familiar with the general gameplay everything further should be very straightforward.
