Cursed Isle

Overview:CursedIsle

Over the centuries many souls have been claimed by the sea surrounding Atria. Mysteriously, no one has ever detected any signs of a shipwreck or spotted any corpses or articles belonging to those unfortunate souls. This has led many people to believe that the waters are cursed and today’s residents of Atria do not dare to venture far from the shore. With recent technology booming, watchmen have become much more effective in their duties with the utilization of modern compasses and spyglasses. One such watchman has made a discovery that has realized everyone’s fears.

The Island:CorgulIsle

This unforgiving island is home to Corgul the Soulbinder. It can only be assumed that he is responsible for the presence of the soulbound spirits that wander the isle along with the lore and tales that precede them. The harsh environment is not for the faint of heart. Corgul has stripped every inhabitant of the island of free-will and cursed them to wander there for eternity. The only way they can break the curse and finally rest is to claim the soul of a living adventurer to take their place.

Getting There:

Sacrificial Altar

It is rumored that a Sacrificial Altar sits in Atria which is the gateway between the mainland and Cursed Isle. Its whereabouts are unknown, however. If you happen to locate this altar and wish to gain entry to the island you must make three sacrifices: You must sacrifice an unfinished treasure map of any difficulty, a world map which can be created with cartography, and lastly you must make a blood sacrifice. The blood sacrifice will reduce you to 1 hitpoint so make sure you are not in any immediate danger while sacrificing. Once you complete the ritual a mysterious map will appear in your pack which acts as the key to the isle. Double-clicking the map will transport you and any nearby party members there.
